Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Culinary Arts Program
For
students interested in culinary arts, this program provides the opportunity
to become certified in food handling and basic food preparation so students can move towards a career in the culinary industry. Students would be eligible to obtain various certifications, including SafeServ, Professional Food Safety Certification, as well as food preparation certifications. |
Transition Planning ServicesStudents are given pre-assessments in the Career & Technical Education. This provides a baseline profile of our students' career skills. In addition an interest survey is done for matching purposes. This baseline data enable us to develop Individual Transitional Plans (ITP) which are done collaboratively with students. The IPTs include career goals and post-secondary transitional services. Transitional Plans may also include relevant wrap around Social Services with the Department of Disability Services to ensure that students are receiving all necessary resources.
